Robot Janitor
For this Adobe Cross-Product Challenge where robots would need to apply for jobs, I created a robot janitor.
I kept getting white robots with the Firefly model, so I switched Firefly to use the GPT Image model to get the base image of the robot janitor.
I brought the image into Photoshop. I tried changing his face, but I never got anything that really matched his style. So I kept the GPT Image model face.
The generated scene was more daytime, so I darkened the windows. I wanted to spotlight the janitor and make it seem like he was alone in an empty building, so I used some layer masks, applied some color overlays, and added a Curves adjustment layer.
Ice Age Sculpture Park
For this Adobe Cross-Product Challenge to imagine a Paleolithic Gallery, I thought Ice Age sculptures in ice would be interesting. I double checked that the Stone Age overlapped the Ice Age.
I used Firefly Image 4 for to generate the majority of the image.
I modified it in Photoshop. The horns looked like stone, so I changed the color. I did the same for the nostrils, the eye slit, and the mouth which were too dark and desaturated.
I later updated the submitted image to change the landscape with Firefly Fill and Expand, move the stone signage and use Rotate Object in the Photoshop beta to adjust the perspective of the stone signage, and apply Harmonize to adjust the color and shadow.
Wings of the Wind
I started with two Adobe Stock images (https://stock.adobe.com/images/dark-clouds-in-open-ocean/128660570 and https://stock.adobe.com/images/golden-eagle-flight/554065927).
I combined the two images in Photoshop, rotating the wing to match the orientation of the cloud. I used adjustment layers to desaturate the wing and lighten it. I applied a layer mask to blend the feathers into the clouds. And I applied the Screen blend mode to lighten the wing shape over the clouds. Lastly, I flipped the entire image horizontally to make what would be the “front” face the right to set the direction of the motion as if we were reading it from left to right.
The final image needed to be mounted on an 18" x 18" board, so I used Firefly to generate the additional sky and the water in segments in order to generate content with a high enough resolution to match the rest of the content for printing.
